So stinkin' cute

Pink flocked baby elephant for anyone?
This card is to celebrate a new born baby. I don't make a lot of these type cards, but I found a stamp set in the sales basket of one of the craft shops that I go to, so this one got me thinking.

Finally another Magnolia card again. I do like these stamps and now I have Tilda as a clown.
The card is coloured with distress inks to match the Basic Grey paper and chipboard.

 The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the swirl stamp is from Making Memories.

Aaah! Finally June and I am counting down the days to our holiday.
We are flying to Florida and I can't wait to go. There is so much that I would love to do, but especially to enjoy the hot weather and being outside in the daylight.
During work, I am stuck in this sick office with no daylight or window - whoever setup the business, didn't give much thought into the welfare of staff - but what can I say, bare and grin.
Here is my card which is overdue and has been waiting for a while to be posted.

Hello card with Penny Black stamps

Just a quick post to share another card.

Lovely Basic Grey paper matches with the colouring of these cute stamps.

Cork letters and some pretty button brads; minor details add a bit more interest.

A happy weekend to you,
Hope you have time to enjoy the day. It is raining so that is a good excuse to stay indoors and craft. I have another spring theme card to share with you today.

I used another card from the Wild Card cartridge. I used American Crafts Tropical cardstock. The image is from Lili of the Valley, I like the funny bunny on his pogo stick. The flowers are from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, cut with their shadow image and layered. I used Making Memories brads to affix them to the card.

The paper is from the Lemonade collection by Basic Grey and the stickers too. I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the scalloped edge.

Sweet Easter Greetings

A Blessed Easter to everyone.
I have 2 cards to show you today with images from Lili of the Valley.

I have cut the card basis with the Cricut. Unfortunately my Gypsy died and I had no way to adjust the settings like I normally do. I am very disappointed with the lifespan of the Gypsy. 2 years is all I got out of it and it doesn't look good based on the comments left on the Cricut community. The leaf is from the same cartridge Wild Card.

The inside is also decorated with the same paper from the Lemonade collection by Basic Grey. The white area for writing a sentiment is made using a Spellbinders die.

The flower is made with circle dies from Spellbinders and some cotton fabric assembled with a Doodlebug brad. I love these brads, they are so soft. the sentiment stickers are also from Basic Grey.

All the images were coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I just love them, they are so nice to work with, very easy to blend.

Happy Mother's Day

A happy day to all mothers, but especially my very own dearest and darling mother.

The designer paper is from Basic Grey June Bug. The card is embossed and left largely blank so there was room to add a handmade paper tissue flower. The flower is sprayed with Glimmer Mist Bubblegum. The leaf is from Spellbinders.

The image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured with polychromos. Unfortunately the paper got a dent in it and it looks as if she has a dirty cheek now :). The sentiment is from Woodware.

Celebrate the New Year

Wishing you all a prosperous 2012. Hope you had a lovely time.
Here is my first card for the year with a Lili of the Valley image, which I thought was quite suitable for the theme.

 I used my new Polychromos pencils and Sansodor to colour the image. I used Basic Grey Kioshi papers.

Handmade tissue paper flowers, which I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, the die I used is from Marianne Design and the leaves are from Spellbinders.

Kioshi brads for the centres and vintage silver glass glitter on the edge of the bottom flower.

Love my new pencils. My Christmas present from my sweetheart, 120 Polychromos from Faber Castell in a mahogany box.

Gretel with cupcakes

Welcome to my last post of the month. I can't believe how fast the year has gone; almost December.
I have used my first ever CC Design stamp and coloured it with Copics. Still not 100% sure about Copics, can't seem to get it right.
I made a birthday card with this stamp and used a Tim Holz woodgrain embossing folder.

The DP is BG Cupcake; a very cheerful paperline as always with Basic Grey.

Decorated matchboxes

I have a simple idea to share with you.
Yes, sometimes I like it simple and easy too, especially when life has been busy like today. I have just finished another 11.5 hour shift and I am tired. My DH is in the kitchen preparing diner; steak, chicory salad and fries and I am starving. Glad I don't have to cook it.We are Belgians and just love chicory, prepared in different ways.
My project for today are these simply decorated matchboxes. I have covered them in paper by Webster's Pages and made rosettes from K&Co paper decorated with BG buttons, Card Candi and a dew drop. I adde some tiny drops of bisque pearl. The edges of the paper are painted with Picket Fence Crackle paint and Glamour Dust.

These are nice to keep or give as a present with a candle or so. Give some warmth this winter... from the heart.

Tilda collecting apples

I have been crafting, but I haven't been posting and I am a bit behind.
I have this cute little harvest card to share with Tilda and her bucket full of apples. I used Basic Grey papers to give this card an autumnal feel, but of course it had to sparkle...
I used a Cricut cut from the Give a Hoot cartridge and added layers to give this tree dimension.
I went to the NEC and overspent a bit, but who cares. I found some wooden embellishments to which I added Glamour Dust after inking. The butterfly is American Craft's and I have added crackle accents and more shimmer and shine.
Ready? Here we go:

I used also Tim Holz Kraft resist paper to stamp Tilda on and to cut the Spellbinders frame.

Tilda is coloured with Caran d'Ache Supracolour pencils, but I haven't used water to blend, but a blender pencil from Derwent.

 More of the details: Distress stain in Spiced Marmelade.

These wooden accents look like little biscuits to me and you can do all sorts of stuff with them. I like the sparkle.

Autumn foxy

I made another autumn flavoured card. 'cause although I hate the arrival of the darker days, I do love the changes in nature and the autumn colours.
I have used my Cricut and Gypsy for this card and the Give a Hoot cartridge to cut this swirly fox. The leaves are a cut from the Flowershoppe cartridge.

I used Basic Grey papers for the card and some old cardstock which I coloured with Distress inks to make it match the paper.

I particularly love this frame from Spellbinders and you'll be seeing this quite a lot on my cards. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the flourish stamp is from TCP studio. I embossed it in dark brown ink and added Antique linen stain to the punched label.
I am off to prepare diner and if I am not too tired, I might play with my goodies from the NEC or we'll be watching a movie; The Pacific series.

My Magnolia card for today is going to be entered at Just Magnolia Week 120: sentiments - challenge.

I have used BG Kioshi paper for this card and American Crafts textured cardstock. I have used the wrapped gift cut from A Child's Year for the front and the interior of the card and decorated it with Stickles. All other cuts are made with Spellbinders. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I sprayed my ribbon with Glimmer Mist Chalkboard Grape Ape.

The interior of the card with a little note-card to hider a gift card in. The little card is a cut from the Damask Décor cartridge.

It is very detailed design and a bit hard work for the Cricut, especially if you don't get the settings right the first time.

How time flies! It is the last week of August already and I haven't been posting.
I have got some card ready and I am halfway through making my holiday album which I have made from scratch.
My card for today is made with an Elisabeth Bell image and a cut from Doodlebug cartridge welded with the Gypsy.

I have used October Afternoon papers and the image is coloured with watercolour pencils.

The SWEET sentiment is from the Stamped cartridge. I have added some green Stickles around the wholes to highlight. Distressing is done with Pumice Stone and Peeled Paint.

Some leaves cut with Spellbinders and some lace and Basic Grey buttons.

I used American Crafts textured cardstock and left the inside blank apart from the sentiment.
