I have you in my heart

Just got to love those adorable Magnolia stamps. My fondness for them has grown over the past year and I have bought a few more. What I like is that they are so cute and one image lends itself for multiple occasions.
I have made another Valentine card with Tilda holding a heart.
The image is painted with Cosmic shimmer paint. The branch swirls are a stamp from a collection by Making Memories. The flowers are from Magnolia and sprayed in Cherry blossom pink Glimmer Mist. Little pearl pen dots decorate the image.
The edges of the image are distressed with Antique Linen crackle paint and the corrugated card has the Picket Fence version.
I used October afternoon paper and stamped the ledger paper with  LOVE YOU. This is a gadget stamp from the sweet brand that makes these love sweets. I found the stamp at Waterstones'.
The sentiment stamp is one by Hero Arts and stamped in red Memento Ink.
This card is for the Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love challenge .

You're my sweetie pie

Another Valentine card for today with a very simple design.
I used an Inkadinkado stamp and kept the colours to brown and blue. The blue images are stamped on ledger paper from October Afternoon Let's fly a kite. The brown spotted paper is also from the same pad.
The ribbon is from American Crafts.
The squares are just punched with Woodware punches. The blue star paper is from another paper collection by Jillibean Soup.
I don't make many of these clean & simple cards, because I like to fluff things up. Gives me a break from my daily routine where work keeps me strict and in line. I love to see the work of other card makers who do keep it to simple straight lines, but for me this is quite hard to do.

Happy Birthday with Tilda

Little cook Tilda is sending you a sweet birthday cupcake.
Meet my new Magnolia card with soft pastel colours!
The image is coloured with Polychromos pencils. The lace is from Polkadoodles, the design paper is from Melissa Francis 5thAvenue and so are the pearls.
I made my own flowers with paper from the 100th Womans Weekly edition. It had a copy of the very first edition in lovely brown paper. I sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. The leaves are made from tissue paper and sprayed with Cherry Blossom Glimmer mist. The sentiment is a stamp by Inkadikado.
The brads are from Making Memories.
I love colouring with my new pencils. I have always loved colouring and it is definitely my preferred medium.

Get ready for Valentine

Hi,
I am back after a while. Where does the time go? I find it harder to keep up with my posts. Having moved my laptop away from my craft desk, hasn't helped.
I spend less time on the internet, although I still browse but use my I pod. It is a very small screen, so I try to keep my online time to a minimum.
Here is my card for today. With Valentine on the way, it had to be with red and a heart.
A lovely Magnolia stamp with Tilda holding a heart, colored with Polychromos pencils and Sansodor. The sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft. Pretty velvet Petaloo flowers with white Prima flowers and Marianne Design leaf. Cute little button brads pop through the holes of this Martha Stewart border.
Gorgeous Websters Pages paper form a 6x6 mixed pack.
The ribbon is from Dille and Kamille, which I bought on our last trip to Belgium in the city of Brugge.

Happy Birthday to my Sweetheart

Hi,
today I will share with you the birthday card I made for my sweetheart's birthday.
I used my all time favourite stamp brand Crafty Secrets and choose this happy Kewpie set. They look so cheeky and cut and were just the neatest thing for a funny card for my man.
All the paper used is from October Afternoon. My DH loves green, so I picked that as the main colour.
I stamped all the images with Memento ink and then coloured them with Polychromos pencils.
Love these cheeky ones!

Celebrate the New Year

Wishing you all a prosperous 2012. Hope you had a lovely time.
Here is my first card for the year with a Lili of the Valley image, which I thought was quite suitable for the theme.
I used my new Polychromos pencils and Sansodor to colour the image. I used Basic Grey Kioshi papers.
Handmade tissue paper flowers, which I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, the die I used is from Marianne Design and the leaves are from Spellbinders.
Kioshi brads for the centres and vintage silver glass glitter on the edge of the bottom flower.
Love my new pencils. My Christmas present from my sweetheart, 120 Polychromos from Faber Castell in a mahogany box.

Wishing you all the merriest Christmas ever. Hope it brings you peace, love and joy.
Sharing this Christmas card with you today with a new stamp from Lili of the Valley.
I used a kraft card as base and K&Co Que Sera Sera papers. I made a stamped background paper with a Hero Arts Cling stamp and Memento ink and covered the image with Glamour Dust.
The main image is coloured with pencils and Cosmic Shimmer paints.
The sentiment stamp is also from Lili of the Valley. The little iridescent rounds are stickers by Paperchase.

More Christmas cards with Lili of the Valley

Two more Christmas cards with a stamp I bought last year from Lili of the Valley. I am into these watercolour paints at the moment and so you will see a lot of cards painted with Cosmic Shimmerz paint.
I have made 2 similar cards with just a small difference in the colouring.

I used Making Memories paper for the background and embossed the white card and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.

Christmas Carols

Time is drawing near and Christmas is only 2 days away. I have a card ready for you to share with a stamp from Lili of the Valley. The image is painted with Cosmic Shimmerz so the have a lovely shine.
I used my Cuttlebug quite a bit for this card. I have embossed the base card with a Tim Holz folder. I used Spellbinders snowflakes on craft paper. The flower was made from Making Memories Ledger paper with a Spellbinders die and added Viva Pearl pen in the centre. The leaf is also a Spellbinders die and the branch is from Marianne design.
I have used Melissa Frances paper and Making Memories Ledger paper for this card. On the inside I have stamped with Distress ink and Tim Holz Stampers Anonymous Christmas stamps.

A winter bunting with Whiff of Joy

Finally! I know it has been a while. December is most hectic at home and at work. I am praying that I will find the strength to tackle everything that is thrown at me.
I have not had a lot of spare time to craft and it has seriously bugged me, but I did manage to work on some things that I had going already.
I made a little home décor piece for the winter season and used Whiff of Joy stamps. Well, they might not be all the same brand, but they are definitely by Elisabeth Bell.
Here it comes;
3 triangles from grey cardstock covered with Marianne Design Vintage Christmas papers.
Spellbinders snowflakes covered in Glimmer Glaze in Waterfall and white pompom trim embellish the banner.
Melissa Frances snowflake border punch with cream coloured dewdrops in the centres A little puffy stuff from Woodware to create a fluffy effect on the clothing..
I didn't take a picture of the hanging banner, but you get the idea. I have hung this from the banister of the stairs in our hallway.
Just some close-ups of the 3 images which I have painted with Cosmic Shimmerz paints.
Just look at that lovely sparkle! It adds so much more to the festive season, don't you think?
Have a lovely Christmas time. Hope I get more time to post some other stuff.

Gretel with cupcakes

Welcome to my last post of the month. I can't believe how fast the year has gone; almost December.
I have used my first ever CC Design stamp and coloured it with Copics. Still not 100% sure about Copics, can't seem to get it right.
I made a birthday card with this stamp and used a Tim Holz woodgrain embossing folder.

The DP is BG Cupcake; a very cheerful paperline as always with Basic Grey.

Nitwit Christmas cards

I want to show you two easy peasy Christmas cards that I made with some Nitwit papers. These papers came free in the Simply Cards & Papercrafts magazine and I think they are rather cute.
These papers are from the Heavenly Collection and in the set were some stickers and diecuts, so no stamping on my cards this time.
Just some Stickles, Card Candi and bakers twine with gingham ribbon to embellish these cards.

The wonder of winter

I have another card with a Gorjuss stamp and I have turned it into another Christmas card. Sorry, I can't help myself. I think it's the best season to make cards for.
I have used Webster's Pages; this paper is just adorable. I only have the 6x6 packs, but they are still so versatile and double sided.
The scalloped background has been distressed with Stormy Sky and Milled Lavender Distress Inks.
The little stipples are done with Ranger's Bisque Pearls.

Lovely Prima flowers all glazed with Tattered Angels' Glimmer Glaze in Waterfall, Champagne and Icicle.

Decorated matchboxes

Hi,
I have a simple idea to share with you.
Yes, sometimes I like it simple and easy too, especially when life has been busy like today. I have just finished another 11.5 hour shift and I am tired. My DH is in the kitchen preparing diner; steak, chicory salad and fries and I am starving. Glad I don't have to cook it.We are Belgians and just love chicory, prepared in different ways.
My project for today are these simply decorated matchboxes. I have covered them in paper by Webster's Pages and made rosettes from K&Co paper decorated with BG buttons, Card Candi and a dew drop. I adde some tiny drops of bisque pearl. The edges of the paper are painted with Picket Fence Crackle paint and Glamour Dust.

These are nice to keep or give as a present with a candle or so. Give some warmth this winter... from the heart.

Gorjuss with blue bird

A new stamp from Gorjuss and I just love it.
I coloured this image on watercolour paper with Shimmerz paints and Glimmer Glaze and just tiny dots of white gel pen and colour pencil, so everything is really sparkly.  The paper is from Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen.
The flower is from Spellbinders on MM ledger paper with Distress stain and Stickles. The little felt branches are also Spellbinders. A lovely ribbon from Websters Pages and some extra wide lucious ribbon from John Lewis.
The star circle die is from Marianne design sprayed with Pearl mist .  The corner punch is from Xcut. Wooden embellishments coloured with Distress Stains and then I added Glamour Dust after using Heat 'n Bond powder.
Another close-up of this lovely stamp. Stinking cute.
Ooh! That sparkles. Thanks for visiting.
