Little wonder baby card

An unusual subject for a card from me; a baby card. I don't often make one of these as there aren't many opportunities in my close circle.
Websters Pages paper lends itself brilliantly for the job, so sweet and soft.

 An 8x8 inch card blank from Papermania with October afternoon papers for the background layers.

Spellbinders dies create such lovely borders and accents on the card. The kraft card is from Tim Holz and the brown printed paper is from a reissued magazine.

 Handmade flowers and butterfly painted with Distress ink, Glimmer Mist and Fairy dust glitter are assembled with a dazzler from Websters pages, a little blue acrylic flower and a gemstone brad. Some foam stickers for extra dimension on the card.

The main image has been decoupaged from 2 layers of paper. The Autumn Leaves sentiment has been heat embossed.

The inside has also been embellished with some designer paper and dies to form a little emblem flower decorated with stick-on pearl halves.

The completed card again with all its embelishments.

Autumn card series with the wizard of Oz (2)

A second card to join the series of the wizard of Oz cards using these lovely papers and images from Graphic 45.

More Bazill Basics cardstock for the background in a peachy orange. I made another background paper using a stamp from the collection stamped all over the paper in Tea dye ink and then distressed the edges.
I made a little frame for the main image with a Spellbinders die. I decoupaged Dorothy's shoes and gave them a bit more sparkle with Fairy Dust glitter.

The inside of the card has also been decorated with more of the designer paper and my own stamped paper. Another Spellbinders frame makes a good centerpiece to write a sentiment on.

Hang in there

Hang in there if you 're struggling.
This too shall pass, that is what I have to tell myself when the troubles of life get me down and tired.

These papers of My Minds Eye are getting well loved. They have such a vintage feel, so I was inspired to make these little tea towels. I decoupaged them, so I could create a 3D card. The stamps are from Crafty Secrets.

The scalloped oval Nestabilities die made my cloud sponged with Distress ink. The Memory Box flower die from the previous card, is now my sun with a button in the middle. Loving it.

Wallpaper card

I made this little card for my mother. I have just been on the phone with her for over an hour.
Told her some good news, so she has something to look forward too.
My dear mother, she so far away from me. I miss her terribly.
I am the youngest and lived with her until I was 30. I know, not many children do these days, but "us" was all we had for a long time. We were the bestest friends and still are. I am blessed to have such a good mother.
And now she is old and frail and too far away from me, it hurts.
I have just released some news to her and need to give her time to think.

The card is made with a piece of wallpaper border from her apartment. Once it went up on the wall, she didn't like it so much. So I made a card to show her it is still pretty. I decoupaged some flowers out of the paper and used hot glue to give it dimension.

Magenta Style cards

Hi there,
I treated myself to 2 new craft books last Saturday. We took a trip to Brighton and had a lovely day. Glad we spent the day close to the sea, because that made the heat bearable. While wandering around through Brighton's lovely shopping streets, I spotted 2 books for £2.99 each. Bargain!
One is Magenta Style papercrafts and it gave me the ideas for my next 2 cards. I used 2 Crafty Individuals stamps. I hadn't used the letter background yet, but I must say I really like it. The whole Magenta Style has got an Eastern/ Indian feel to it -at least that is my opinion-.

This time no sentiment and I used gold peel-offs, can't remember the time I used to use these. I still have stacks of them. The bird image is stamped on 4 colors of Coordinations cardstock and then cut out and framed. This one is colored with Whispers Strokes brush pens. All images have been embossed.

Here I used Sakura gelpens to color the peel-offs. This style might not be a permanent thing for me, but I will keep trying it once in a while.

Hello there, Just opened this Blog today. I wanted to start one some time ago, but lacked time. I 've been reading and looking at many blogs about paper crafting and oh my... have I been inspired. There 's a lot of beautiful stuff out there. Thanks for sharing. Now it 's my turn. I have only recently started paper crafting. Last Christmas, I got a Cricut Expression. Wow! Like it,like it. Over the last few months I added stamping and my love bought me a Cuttlebug too. So the cards I 've been making reflect this process. Some things I 've bought I like more than others, so I 'm still changing as I go. Guess I should leave you with a few cards I made like 7 years ago, before I read any blogs. Lol, time changes a lot.
