Table centre piece preview

Just a quick preview on another item I am making for the bridal shower.
It's a table centre piece.
The flowers are made from tissue paper, but I am also using crepe paper. I will decorate a styro foam circle. More details to follow in a later post. I used a punch and Spellbinders dies to cut different types of circles for the flowers.

Bridal shower invitation

I have been busy, busy, busy lately. I am making preparations for a bridal shower.
The party is going to take place next Sunday the 6th, so I can finally post the pictures of the invitations.
Made with the Sweethearts cartridge and my Cricut.
The cardstock is from DCWV Mariposa collection.
Simple but effective as I have kept the umbrella cut out to make different items for the shower.

Thank you card

Enjoying my Sunday afternoon at home, recharging the batteries ready for another busy week.
I have made a Magnolia card combined with some Cricut cuts. The colours are very much spring time with light blue and yellow.
I recycled an old Cricut card that I had made when I just received my Cricut. I had used the Storybook cartridge.
A lovely little Tilda holding flowers.
Magnolia Doohickey dies for the branch and flowers, sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
Some Stickles to add sparkle to this pencil coloured image.
The inside of the card is covered with patterned paper from Melody Ross by GCD studios.

Oh Happy Day

A happy weekend to you,
Hope you have time to enjoy the day. It is raining so that is a good excuse to stay indoors and craft. I have another spring theme card to share with you today.
I used another card from the Wild Card cartridge. I used American Crafts Tropical cardstock. The image is from Lili of the Valley, I like the funny bunny on his pogo stick. The flowers are from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, cut with their shadow image and layered. I used Making Memories brads to affix them to the card.
The paper is from the Lemonade collection by Basic Grey and the stickers too. I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the scalloped edge.

Serenity

Hello,
I have an unusual card to share, that is for myself I mean.
I saw this video from Becca Feeken where she makes these frugal embellishment flowers with buttons. I have tried them before, but never really used them. So I thought it was time to get out my hot glue gun and make a button flower. I used Papertrey buttons that I won a while ago from Andrea.
Simple, but beautiful in its own right with just a stamped sentiment from TCP Studio. All other items are made with Spellbinder dies.
The inside of the card is covered with the same paper from making Memories.

Sweet Easter Greetings

Hi,

A Blessed Easter to everyone.
I have 2 cards to show you today with images from Lili of the Valley.
I have cut the card basis with the Cricut. Unfortunately my Gypsy died and I had no way to adjust the settings like I normally do. I am very disappointed with the lifespan of the Gypsy. 2 years is all I got out of it and it doesn't look good based on the comments left on the Cricut community. The leaf is from the same cartridge Wild Card.
The inside is also decorated with the same paper from the Lemonade collection by Basic Grey. The white area for writing a sentiment is made using a Spellbinders die.
The flower is made with circle dies from Spellbinders and some cotton fabric assembled with a Doodlebug brad. I love these brads, they are so soft. the sentiment stickers are also from Basic Grey.
All the images were coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I just love them, they are so nice to work with, very easy to blend.

For a healthy heart

...exercise your faith. This lovely sentiment is by TCP Studio.
A sweet little Tilda card to share with you today.
Designer paper is from Basic Grey June Bug collection. The image is coloured with pencils and then cut out. The background is sprayed with Glimmer Mist Cross My Heart using a template that I cut with the Cricut from the Storybook cartridge.
The picture quality is not ideal, but I would like to show you how I coloured her skirt, trying to mimic the paper.
The sentiment is a stamp from TCP studio, stamped in red and then raised with Glossy Accents. The branch and the flowers are from Magnolia, the corner die is from Spellbinders.
Just a quick view of the inside of the card.

Happy Mother's Day

A happy day to all mothers, but especially my very own dearest and darling mother.
The designer paper is from Basic Grey June Bug. The card is embossed and left largely blank so there was room to add a handmade paper tissue flower. The flower is sprayed with Glimmer Mist Bubblegum. The leaf is from Spellbinders.
The image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured with polychromos. Unfortunately the paper got a dent in it and it looks as if she has a dirty cheek now :). The sentiment is from Woodware.
Enjoy your very special day everyone. Hugs.

Get well

After having disappeared off the globe...
Not really, I was still around, but free time has been reduced to nothing. Where I used to be able to enjoy the odd day off and fill it with crafting and homework, now I have hardly any free time.
Work has become an ugly beast and demands all my time. At work, there have been big changes as the clinic manager has left and I have resumed the acting role; not easy doing the work of two.
Hopefully in the near future, things will change for the better and I can get back to regular crafting. I am still fortunate to call myself fairly young :) and have luckily enough energy to share.
Some exciting occasions on the horizon: a baby shower, my friend's bridal shower and a wedding,... meaning enough crafting opportunities and ideas coming in floods...
I have made some cards and this one today is a get well card.
The designer paper is from Melissa Frances Kitchy Kitchen.
The stamp is from Motivet and coloured with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. I am still very disappointed that Motivet has left the UK market. I am not even sure if they are still trading. They used to have such delightful images. I am glad I bought them when I did.
I did an effort to decorate the inside of the card as well. I think since 2012, I have been treating every card this way. The sentiment on the front and inside are from Crafty Secrets Feeling Yucky collection.
Hope to be back with a post soon, thanks for all the visits even when I was not posting. Hope to hear from you soon.

Blooming with sweetness

Happy Valentine to all, but specially to my one and only beloved one.
Websters Pages papers are most delightful and so soft in their make-up, they really suit the Magnolia stamp.
Colouring with colour pencils.

The flower is handmade from old magazine papers.

A safe landing

My next card is for someone who is going through a rough time. Life isn't always easy and the hard times may bring us low, but as long as we remember that every cloud has a silver lining and there is a God who watches over us. so here is to you who struggles...
Prima papers from the Jack 'n Jill collection are used as the background papers. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals and coloured with pencils.
The sentiment is from TCP studio and stamped on a Magnolia die cut tag.
The flowers are by Prima and altered with Tattered Angels spray mists.

You are truly amazing

A new card for you today with a super cute image from Nellie Snellen, Smookie the dragon sitting in the moon.
I used papers from Jillibean Soup for this card on a kraft card base.
My image is coloured with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I am really pleased with the colouring and so love working with these pencils.
Shimmery, shiny Prima flowers sprayed with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in green and yellow and Iridescent Gold with Card Candi centres. The leaves are made with a Spellbinders die from white tissue paper and then sprayed with Cherry Blossom Glimmer Mist.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts and stamped in pink Brilliance ink and mounted on a corrugated kraft label.

The tide always turns

Hello and welcome to my first card for the month. I used this lovely angling
Tilda with a cut from the Cricut cartridge Animal Kingdom. The papers I used are from K&Co Wild Saffron. The image is coloured with Polychromos colour pencils.

I do love the shading and blending possibilities I have with these Polychromos pencils and I had fun applying several shades of Stickles too.

I have you in my heart

Just got to love those adorable Magnolia stamps. My fondness for them has grown over the past year and I have bought a few more. What I like is that they are so cute and one image lends itself for multiple occasions.
I have made another Valentine card with Tilda holding a heart.
The image is painted with Cosmic shimmer paint. The branch swirls are a stamp from a collection by Making Memories. The flowers are from Magnolia and sprayed in Cherry blossom pink Glimmer Mist. Little pearl pen dots decorate the image.
The edges of the image are distressed with Antique Linen crackle paint and the corrugated card has the Picket Fence version.
I used October afternoon paper and stamped the ledger paper with  LOVE YOU. This is a gadget stamp from the sweet brand that makes these love sweets. I found the stamp at Waterstones'.
The sentiment stamp is one by Hero Arts and stamped in red Memento Ink.
This card is for the Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love challenge .

You're my sweetie pie

Another Valentine card for today with a very simple design.
I used an Inkadinkado stamp and kept the colours to brown and blue. The blue images are stamped on ledger paper from October Afternoon Let's fly a kite. The brown spotted paper is also from the same pad.
The ribbon is from American Crafts.
The squares are just punched with Woodware punches. The blue star paper is from another paper collection by Jillibean Soup.
I don't make many of these clean & simple cards, because I like to fluff things up. Gives me a break from my daily routine where work keeps me strict and in line. I love to see the work of other card makers who do keep it to simple straight lines, but for me this is quite hard to do.

Happy Birthday with Tilda

Little cook Tilda is sending you a sweet birthday cupcake.
Meet my new Magnolia card with soft pastel colours!
The image is coloured with Polychromos pencils. The lace is from Polkadoodles, the design paper is from Melissa Francis 5thAvenue and so are the pearls.
I made my own flowers with paper from the 100th Womans Weekly edition. It had a copy of the very first edition in lovely brown paper. I sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. The leaves are made from tissue paper and sprayed with Cherry Blossom Glimmer mist. The sentiment is a stamp by Inkadikado.
The brads are from Making Memories.
I love colouring with my new pencils. I have always loved colouring and it is definitely my preferred medium.
