Sending warm fuzzies

Last card for July?
It might be this one using a Hampton Art {foot.longs} stampset by Kelly Panacci. It contains cute little animals and fitted just nicely in my new EK Succes label punch.
I used Making Memories paper from Fresh Anthology collection - Sydney. I used Watercolour pencils and Distress Ink to colour the image.
Two vintage buttons with twine sit on top of two Prima flowers. The ribbon is sprayed in Frost and Moonlight Glimmer Mist.
The inside of the card is decorated with paper from the same collection and the same stamped image.

Dream

Hello there,
Are you up for a picture heavy post today. I have a card ready that took a bit more effort to make, but I had a ball and good hardly stop. So for the minimalist card makers out there -I love that style too-, just have a little patience with this happy card maker. This card is going on the PDCC92: coral, petal pink and antique gold. I think I have nailed it : ) and what they have to win is really up my street; Glimmer Mist! Mama!
Here we go:
The card front: the stamps are from Wild Rose Studio Fairy Kira and Kaisercraft. Melissa Frances paper from the Vintage Attic Treasures pack. I cut the kraft card with my Gypsy using Wild Card to get the torn edge look and the Nestabilities were also put to good use for the frame.
Colouring with Distress Ink from Tim Holz and a little metallic white paint from Docrafts. EK Succes flowerpunch and Fiskars oval punch. Some old eyelets with charms and a bird charm from  my necklace.
I scrunched the flowers and gave them some though love. The swirl is from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.
The wings are sprinkled with glitter and just shine.
 Some twine instead of ribbon.
Viva gold pearl pen for the flowers.
Another close up of Fairy Kira.
The inside of the card is also decorated using more designer paper and an EK Succes punch, flowers and more lace.
I also decorated the envelope with little flowers to make it all fit together.

Live full the life you have imagined

Hello bloggers,
I haven't been blogging lately. Work is very, very stressful at the moment and it has made me feeling mentally exhausted. I just did not have the energy to get to my blog.
Nevertheless I have 2 cards that have been hanging around for more than a week. I tried something new, which is stamping on black card and colouring with  metallic colour pencils from Derwent. I bought these pencils last year at the pencil museum in Keswick, but did not use them much because they don't seem to have much effect on white paper.
I stamped in Brilliance white ink, but touched up with white gel pen after colouring. This background is done with pencil.
This background is done with white metallic paint wash. The stamps are from Hero Arts. The sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft.
The full image cut out with Nestabilities.
Another detail of a butterfly. I stamped on black cardstock from American Crafts; this is a nice heavy weight card but the pores are large/ textured, which doesn't simplify colouring on it.
October Afternoon ledger paper and Coordinations cardstock Black Magic, but I used the reverse on both cards so I could use the colour.
Prima music sheet paper for the background and both cards on kraft card. I prefer the second one with the coloured background. The painted one becomes a bit too misty.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Motivet stamps - Shy Hilda, little hippo

Motivet stamps seem to have disappeared of the radar.
They only have a web-shop now and are waiting to move to the US. The Craft Barn use to sell their stamps, but have stopped doing this for over a year, I think.
It is a pity though, I really like them. They have very cute images and good quality.
I dug one out of my stash to make this little card.
Oh yes, another scalloped card made with the Cricut. The DP is from Papermania Rose Garden, BG Euphoria Chips, Joy Crafts butterfly dies with distress ink and pearl Glimmer Mist, a paper doily with Glimmer Mist, some bling and a EK Success border punch.
Hilda is coloured with Warm Grey Copics, a lttle bit of Flesh and a bit of light blues. Some BV31 and BV02 added to the blues in the background and some Sakura white gel pen for the highlights.
The inside also has some DP and BG Chips with a bling butterfly.

A doily card

A sweet little card made with a Crafty Secrets stamp.
The card is cut using the Gypsy. I used a pre-scored card and the Gypsy is perfect to allow you to position precisely where you want to cut. I used the Wild Card cartridge, as I just love this scalloped circle card.
I inked the edges with Memento ink and die cut more circles with Nestabilities and my circle cutter from We R MemoryKeepers. The image is cut using a die from Marianne Design giving it a nice doily look. I am entering this card in Cute Card Thursday Challenge 172; Lace. I have used 2 types of lace on this card, just love lace and doilies. This card is also going in the Basic Grey Challenge 48; Doilies and ribbons.
The image is coloured with Caran d'Ache watercolour pencils. I also used some white metallic paint for the dress. The flowers are from Marianne Design and the designer paper is from Basic Grey Kioshi. The flower centers are done with Viva pearl pen and Stickles.
The inside of the card got some decoration too. There is something about Basic Grey papers that makes every card special.

Get Better

This post is dedicated to my dear friend Loretta.
I know you are having a rough time sweetie. I wish I could do something for you.
At times like these I feel so useless. Just know that I am thinking of you always and praying for you.
I made a card for you on my Cricut to let you know I am missing you. Actually I know of a lot of people missing you... They are missing your jolly personality.
Ever seen such a blingy Band Aid? I had to add glitter, 'cause we 're girls isn't it?
The cuts are from the Wild card cartridge, cut in 5.59 inch. I used DCWV and Coordinations cardstock.
The paper is from the Nonsense collection from We R MemoryKeepers.
The inside of the card reads:" missing you" and is a cut from the Stamping cartridge.
Every good card comes with a matching envelope, how else?
Hope to see you this week and you 're feeling better soon.
Lots of love and a big hug from me.

With love

I am back!
We had a lovely time up in the lakes. So happy we managed to get 3 weeks this year. The weather wasn't bad for UK standards, I can't complain.
We did lots of things, but I only managed to make one card. I brought along my craft tote, but most of my craft time I stamped and coloured images. I did a lot of colouring with distress ink, watercolour pencils and paint.
We had no reception on our mobile and no internet. I did not miss the mobile at all, but missed the internet at times because I wanted to look at all your crafty creations out there. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I made a card with a stamp from The Greeting Farm, stamped on a pre-scored kraft card and coloured with pencils.

I used Papermania Rose Garden paper and some lace sprayed in Spring Rain Glimmer Mist.
The flowers are from Prima and Kaisercraft and painted with Shimmerz paint. I made the flower centers with Viva Pearl pen in Yellow and Ice White.
A close up of the coloured image. I didn't  use my blender pencil this time, but blended with a cottonbud. Just added some Stickles and Glaze for a finishing touch.

On a blog break

I will be back in July. Thanks for your visits.
Blog hugs,
Margaret.

A little loopy

... that 's what I am. I have had 3 very hectic weeks at work.
We have been hit with so much sickness at work, I ended up being inundated with work and didn't know whether I was coming or going. I have been acting manager at our clinic for the past few weeks, but it felt more like a Jack-of-all-trades.
This is my last post, before my summer break. I am off to have a good time. I hope you can say the same.
Here is my card; it is the lovely "Dexter in a puddle" stamp by Motivet. I got this one at the Craft Barn. Pity they don't stock Motivet stamps anymore. So cute.
I used Basic Grey Junebug papers on Kraft card. Dexter is coloured with Distress inks.
The sentiment is a K&Co rub-on from Wild raspberry collection. The background stamp on the tag is from Kaisercraft.
Some distressing of the papers and some loopy ribbon and voila... holiday deserved.
See you.

Stampavie card 3: Owls in the night

Hi,
This is probably my last card for the month. I did use another Stampavie clear stamp; 2 cute little owls looking very interested at a glowing caterpillar.
Once again I used my colour pencils on kraft card. I had a bit of a play around to decide what a night sky should look like and also how the night light would change the colour of the owls.
I did not use any black, but made my own with different shades. The swirl border is from Efco stamps and is dotted with Viva pearl pen in Ice White.
Some Glimmer Mist in Flower Power and Spring Rain to colour the white Prima flowers. A Basic Grey Kioshi brad for the center to match with paper from the same collection. The sentiment is from TPC Studio.
Just another close-up of the colouring. Hope you like it. Don't forget to enjoy the Bank holiday weekend.

Stampavie card 2: Wonderful friend

Hello and Happy Birthday to my darling mother. Love you, sweetheart, looking forward to our holiday together.
I am on a roll and in the mood for colouring with my Caran d'Ache pencils.
So good to have YouTube at hand. Thanks to all the people sharing their gifts with others, because I am good at stealing with my eyes... Not sure if I would ever make a YouTube upload, but I appreciate every bit of it.
I have used another of my long-time-ago-purchased Stampavie stamps, never inked this one before.
At first I was thinking of making a baby card with this one, but not many newborns in the neighbourhood. Although 2 colleagues have announced their pregnancy, but are not due until October and December. I am not going to start on their cards yet...
I love colouring on Kraft card, such a happy medium. If you have never tried it, please do, you 'll be surprised at what effects you can achieve on this cardstock. It is much easier for me to work with pencils and get shadowing and layering than with Copics.
The DP is 5th Avenue from Melissa Frances with some inking on the edges, Ribbon, lace and 2 little lace flowers give this card a soft feel. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and die-cut with Nestabilities tags.
Something else; you probably have heard of Adele, singer/songwriter? I love this song of hers and dedicate it to the love of my life. "These words are for you, mannetje, 'cause I love you.".

Thanks for looking and all your kind comments.

Remember...

...that something incredibly wonderful is always possible.
I have made a card with a new style, for me that is. Where I would normally stamp the image and then cut it out to put on a card, this time I have stamped directly onto kraft cardstock with StazOn.
The stamp is from Stampavie and coloured with pencils Supracolor II soft from Caran d'Ache and a bit of Derwent Metallic pencils.
I actually love how the image looks and I like it better than Copics so far.
The paper is from October Afternoon.
Ribbon from American Crafts.
The sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft.
Some Papermania pearls and Glossy accents to finish.

Hang in there

My first Gorjuss girls stamp!
I have seen these images for a while, but never decided on getting one. I finally bought one at the Market Gallery.
I have coloured with Distress Inks on watercolour paper and used Nestabilities to frame it. Another first for me is using Melissa Frances paper 5th Avenue collection. This is such soft toned paper, so pretty, I hardly dared to cut it.
I used a paper doilie behind my image and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist Key Lime.
The flower is made with some lace and a brad. The leaves are a Prima hortensia flower that has been cut in 2 and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
The butterfly is decoupaged and I have added a little glitter powder on its wings.
Inside the card is a sentiment from the Wild Card cartridge that reads:" Hang in there".

Your love and friendship is a precious gift

Hello,
I have this last card in the Kanban series to share with you.
Again I have used Distress Ink to colour. It is still not the easiest medium for me to use, but I will keep trying to improve on it.
I kept this card nice and simple without DP -how is that possible?-.

Make a special birthday wish

Here is my next card in the series with Kanban stamps. I don't know who the artist is, but it seems very similar to Lili of the Valley stamps.
I wonder...
So here comes a little fairy girl waving her wand over the frog in the box. Cute, isn't it ?

The star border stamp is from Efco stamps, a German manufacturer. I got it from a bargain corner at Emerald Crafts. I think it works wonderful with this image.
Everything is coloured with Distress inks which I hugely enjoy. They are not as forgiving as Copics, but I am learning.
