Good morning dear people,
Don't you feel like spring is in the air? I do and I like it. Although it has rained hard and a lot recently, there is nothing in nature to depress me. The days are getting brighter, birds singing, buds appearing,...Yahoo!
My first Sugar Nellie stamp and isn't she cute? Elisabeth Bell is the artist and she designs for several companies. Whiff of Joy, Belles and Whistles, Sugar Nellie are just the ones I know about. Meet the artist, her gallery and blog over here. I am sure you will like it.
Showing off some of the goodies I bought at Make-it; Glimmer Glam in Tutu Pink was used on this white Prima flower. It not only gives it a glittering, which really sticks to the flower, but it also makes the flower look waxy.
These cork letters are from Making Memories. I sprayed the lace with 2 shades of Glimmer Mist Moonlight and Frost. I added Viva Pearls to the lace.
I used the Glimmer Glam also on the image frame. I also bought some Glimmer Glaze in a few colours. Maybe I 'll show you on my next card, but if you want to buy some, you can find it here at Sugar and Spice.
I love Glimmer products and I know they are a bit pricey, but hey, I don't buy any jewellery so a girl 's got to have some bling. Yes?

Wishing you sunshine all year through
...and don't we need it!
Welcome to my 3rd post of the day. A boy card, wohooo!
We went to the Make-it craft fair in Farnborough. We left the sunshine at home and as we drove up the M3 it became wetter and darker and windier.
I had not been to this fair before and it is actually quite good. Don't know why they sell clothing on a craft fair though? I am hoping to see the Cricut machine on a show in the UK. Someone had Pazzles, yet sold some Imagine ad Cricut cartridges? I see the Dutch are taking over the UK craft market, especially Eline Pellinkhof. Well done! After they sold their 3D decoupage to the UK -more than 10 years- late, the Dutch are starting to fashion things up a bit here.
Do I seem frustrated? Yeah! We can't all go on a CHA shopping spree, but the UK crafting ladies (and men) are definitely not oldy worldy! Please update what you sell over here and no,... we don't all want to buy from the TV. I like to go shopping, but have you seen the Hobbycraft store...??? (but a sad face here)
Enough with the grumpy old woman, on to my card.
DP: Making Memories on craft card.
Stamps: Stampies, Lily of the Valley sentiment coloured with watercolour pencils.
Embellishments: raffia, black marker, fish brad, Prima flower with Glimmer Glaze Icicle, white gel pen.
I masked 2 stamps together so the bear would sit on the bridge. A fitting card for a little boy. Hope you like it.

Springtime gift box
Hello to you,
You are know looking at my second post of the day; a gift box.
I was wondering if I should post this one as I realized I had used the paper in the wrong direction. Well, there is no right or wrong in the artistic world... Maybe if I said that it was a Valentine box, then the hearts should be the right way up.
But it is a Springtime box and will probably hold Jelly Belly beans for my big boy.
All paper and chipboard is from DCWV the Spring Glitter Stack and Springtime embellishments.
The box was cut with the Cricut Tags, bags, boxes and more. The little button brad is from Making Memories.

Friends Forever
Hi,
I have 3 posts today for you. I have been a bit busy, so I didn't get time to take pictures and post what I have made.
First up is a cute Magnolia card with some lovely Prima papers from the Annalee pad.
I used a ready made peach coloured card and covered it with blue pearl paper. The little Spellbinders tag is also cut in this pearl paper. The little pearls are Viva pearl pen. Tilda is coloured with Copics and a lot of Stickles.
I used a rose cut from the Gypsy; Indie Art cartridge. This is one of the 5 cartridges that was downloadable for free, when registering the Gypsy. Great! I hope Provocraft will do this more. I added Diamond Stickles on the rose, thus allowing it to stand out more from the background.
Hope you like it. Keep looking as 2 more posts are coming up.

Wallpaper card
I made this little card for my mother. I have just been on the phone with her for over an hour.
Told her some good news, so she has something to look forward too.
My dear mother, she so far away from me. I miss her terribly.
I am the youngest and lived with her until I was 30. I know, not many children do these days, but "us" was all we had for a long time. We were the bestest friends and still are. I am blessed to have such a good mother.
And now she is old and frail and too far away from me, it hurts.
I have just released some news to her and need to give her time to think.
The card is made with a piece of wallpaper border from her apartment. Once it went up on the wall, she didn't like it so much. So I made a card to show her it is still pretty. I decoupaged some flowers out of the paper and used hot glue to give it dimension.
DP: Webster's Pages
Stamp: TPC Studio
MS punch and Stickles, MM brads and Nestabilities label with Distress ink.

Happiness walks on busy feet
I have another Magnolia card today to share and this one I am entering in a challenge on Magnolia-licious.
They have a card recipe as challenge, completely girly this month with pink and hearts, silver and white.
It has been a long time since I did a challenge. Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't.
Most of the time I am too busy to check for challenges.
DP: Making Memories, printed vellum, kraft card from Papermania.
Stamps: Magnolia, Autumn Leaves, Making Memories flowers stamped and embossed on vellum.
Embellishments: MM brads and tag, Prima flowers, little roses from Hobbycraft, satin rose and lace from Veritas, chipboard heart and butterfly from American Crafts, satin ribbon from Marianne Design, butterfly punch Martha Stewart.
Colour: Copic Ciao, Silver Ice and Stardust Stickles, Viva Ice White pearl pen.
I am so glad I bought a little hot glue gun. Now I know at least that my efforts won't fall off the card : )
Hey guess what? This is my second Magnolia card in a row. Don't worry, I have a 3rd image already coloured and waiting. I truly have Magnolia-itis at the moment and the cure I am looking for is mooore...

Hello with Tilda
A Magnolia card from me today in a shabby style.
I had good fun making this one, trying to give it a lot of texture.
I have a new desk light from IKEA, but I haven't managed to get a daylight bulb from my craft store. So the light coming from the right is yellowish until I can fix it.
The DP is from Making Memories. The flowers are Prima and on the white ones I used an Autumn Leaves flower stamp in walnut stain Distress ink. The brown lace tags are from K&Co.
The white tag is stamped with a Hero Arts Clings text stamp. The corners and flowers are from Autumn Leaves. The little Hello stamp is again from Hero Arts and of course Tilda is from Magnolia.
Coloured with Copics and Stickles. I made little pearl dots with Viva pearl pen and as you can see. I used another kraft card. Just like white card, it seems to work with anything.

You make me happy
A Valentine card from me today.
I am not sure if the stamping went well. I used American Crafts stamps and Pixie Dust Dew Drop ink.
I have had these inks for a while, but they don't seem to stick very well to the clear stamps.
I wanted to make a minimalistic card and used a cut from the Sweetheart cartridge and popped it with some 3D-foam.
This is my first time using craft card from Papermania. It is recycled paper, so I don't really know why they charge so much for it. Fashion, I believe...
DP: Making Memories ( I love this paper and was very glad to find it in a mixed pack at TK-Maxx)
Stamps: American Crafts.

Handmade just for you
So many ideas, so little time.
Have you also got that feeling sometimes where you want to do so much, inspiration comes flooding in, but time runs out. It is happening to me lately and most of the time work is sucking the energy out of me.
A weekend off should be holy to me, just for me to indulge in my hobby. Then housework calls me... Keep dreaming, girl, you 're not in paradise. Oh, if I ever win the lottery.... I 'll be papercrafting with revenge. Snigger, snigger.
To cheer me up, a very pink card, he he.
Everything cut with my dearly beloved Cricut and Gypsy; Wild Card and Home Decor.
DP: American Crafts, Making Memories Cheeky collection -Abby.
Stamp: Elisabeth Bell with watercolours
Embellishments: Prima white flowers, Cosmos and Flower Power Glimmer Mist, Purple jewels, diamond Stickles, 3D glaze.

Count your blessings
Surely I need to start counting them, I am sure it will make me less gloomy and all the more thankful.
Here is my last card for this month and I made it an elegant one.
A lot of things going on, so I opted for just 3 colours; rose, yellow and black with just one red accent to break it up.
Hope you like it, thanks for visiting.
I used Tattered Rose Distress Ink on the embossed background. The stamps are Hero Arts and coloured with Copics. I used Coordinations cardstock which I sanded.
The sentiment is from The Paper Company Studio.

Sending you sunshine and laughter
It has been long while since I did a Cricut card.
I felt like something a bit more summery, to beat the dreary drab.
Lovely October Afternoon papers; Fly a kite collection.
I have no cartridge with a flag banner, so I made my own heart banner with the Gypsy and Plantin Schoolbook.
The children are cut with A Child's Year and the Gypsy on Coordinations cardstock black/pink, so I would have a soft shadow.
The sentiment is Hero Arts' stamped with Dew Drop Brilliance ink. I added some Distress ink, 3D foam and used MS border punch to finish the card.

To be loved by you is a blessing
Isn't this the most wonderful saying?
And now with Valentine coming soon, it would be very useful. It is from a set from TPC Studio found in my lovely New Forest craft shop.
Frame cut with the Storybook cartridge, flowers with Accent Essentials. As you can tell, a lot of Glimmer Mist was used. Courtesy of my sweet mother sending me another lovely parcel.
Stamps: Penny Black, TPC Studio and American Crafts border stamp.
DP: Coordinations cardstock black -but I used the blue reverse-, MM Ledger Paper. My stamped image is coloured with pencils.

Make a wish
A fresh looking card for today.
Soft springtime colours as I have had enough of dark gloomy winter.
I think I 'm suffering with daylight deprivation,... I crave sunshine.
So a card to cheer me up. Love Penny Black stamps, especially this little Critter Party set.
Nestabilities: Lacy Squares.
Stamps: Penny Black, Hero Arts Cling background
Ink: Old paper distress ink, Memento Tuxedo black
Copics, Anita's 3D clear gloss finish
Hero Arts flowers with Glimmer Mist Pearl and Old Lace, blue vintage buttons

I liked the faded look of the background.
My ink is almost finished, so it wasn't moist enough for the stamp.
Would get the same effect with a brayer.

With Sympathy
A sad occasion, it is. We heard yesterday that our neighbours have both lost their mothers.
No matter what age they become, I don't think it is ever easy loosing your parents.
I don't know what I would do if I lost my mother. So I feel deeply for my neighbours and wish them all the best, together with our sincerest feelings of sympathy.
I made a card to let them know we care.
DP: Papermania Rose Garden, American Crafts
Stamps: Hero Arts, Papertrey sentiment
Colours: Caran d'Ache watercolour pencils, Stickles, Distress Ink Walnut stain.

New cards for the New Year
I finished my cards with the tissue flowers and felt leaves.
It has become a set of 4 cards made with K&Co paper. Love that paper, so very elegant.
I used MM Ledger paper to cut tags with Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and I cut the swirls with the Storybook cartridge.
I added some lace and pearls and kept the design simple.

Tissue paper flowers
I had some red tissue paper lying around, actually 3 different ones, one was waxy and all 3 were different shades of red.
I folded the tissue and cut 2 different sized circles with my Spellbinders. The advantage of tissue paper is that you can cut several layers at once. I tried a punch, but it just ripped the paper.
I folded the circles in 4 and then cut some waves on the edges to get an irregular shape, rather than just a circle.
Then I stacked up to 8 (4 small on top of 4 larger circles) and punched a hole with my Cropadile in the middle.
I then stuck a big brad in the middle, just an ordinary one from the stationers 'cause you can't see it at all when the flower is finished.
Then I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the circles, just lightly so it is moist, and started scrunching up the inner layers upwards. A bit fiddely, but the end effect is lovely. You can work it as much as you like.
When finished, I gave it a final spray with Glimmer Mist. I tried several colours, but the iridescent gold worked best.
I also cut some leaves out in felt using a Marianne design die.
The felt was a bit too thick and would hardly go through my Cuttlebug. It didn't cut the leaves out completely, but left an imprint deep enough to make it easy to cut with scissors.
I used Olive Vine Glimmer Mist to colour the white felt.
Stay tuned, I 'll be making some cards with these lovelies.
